I am one of the fairies that paints the world in colour each day. My primary colour is green, to colour the trees, leaves and grass. Today is a different day to others of painting the world awake. I’m running low on green paint. I’ll use what I have left in this tin, then head back to HQ to get some more, no big deal. Even before I fly into HQ, I can see the bustling chaos going down. Something isn’t right. It seems that other nature fairies are having the same issue as me. There’s no blue for the skies and oceans. There’s no yellow for the sun’s bright joyous beam. There’s no green for me to finish the trees and plants. No one can finish the job they started, and soon the human species will awaken from their slumber to see the world unfinished. They will see the half-finished colouring book pages that we have left behind, and their world views will completely fall apart. Some aspects of their lives will be coloured in full high-definition, while others will be black and white outlines to where the lines should be filled in. This is a disaster!
