The Main Character

This idea is genius! Plus, it’s so good that I’ll definitely remember it later. I don’t need to write it down, I’m sure I will remember everything.

Wait, what was I going to write down again? I had this idea but the details are blurry. Crap, I’ve done it again. I always tell myself that I’m going to remember my clever ideas and never do. It was an awesome idea too, I think. That’s the part I remember about it all. I can’t believe I keep justifying to myself that this time will be different and I will remember for sure. 

The ideal situation would be to immediately put pen to paper when inspiration strikes, but the next best solution is waking up in a cold sweat recollecting the forgotten idea. Neither are guarantees with what I do for work. Next time for sure.
