I want top be working on my passion project, I really do, but I keep finding fun distractions. The time for focus keeps turning into zoning out on a strange detail in the wall plaster I’ve never seen before, then putting my favourite music on, then – a blink later – I’m searching about the entire career history of an actor who was in this other show I like. Shit, I’ve gotten distracted again. The sun has disappeared beneath the horizon. Another wasted day to get some hobby stuff done.
Maybe I need to realign my routine and remind myself why I started this novel project to begin with. Hopefully a clear direction and purpose will keep the distractions to a minimum… at least for a little while, before my mind wanders again.
