This book continues to get more interesting as I read along! Seeing this character’s life fleshed out in such incredible detail is inspiring. Truly captivating!
I see myself relating to the protagonist a lot. The author, P. Harrison really made a sympathetic and grounded character which I haven’t seen a lot of other authors do as well as this. An exemplar of literature.
I start the next chapter in anticipation for what comes next. I flip past many blank pages. Nothing! Just when it was getting a lot more plot heavy. Unbelievable.
I flip back to where I just finished the previous chapter, just to be sure, and words appeared. I brushed it off as me missing it the first time.
“She flipped through the book, expecting the answers, only to find none.”
I take my eyes off my book and begin to pay attention to the people around me. No one I could see looked suspicious like they were watching my every move.
More words appeared in the book.
“She is paranoid. Anyone can see that. She wishes to know the author of the book she has invested her time into. If she knew, I’d have to kill her with my bare hands. All humans are curious how it all ends but they aren’t allowed to skip over any parts. No exceptions for one of my favourite characters either.”
The writing stops dead in its tracks, and I wait for it to continue. It doesn’t as quickly I would hope. I want it to continue. I stare at the blank page; words would make this whole situation much better.
The book flies out of my hands as I come to the realisation that I don’t remember where the book came from.
Never again! It scares me more than life itself.
