Interdimensional Friendship

It’s not often that I get to catch up with my friend. Unfortunately, the first time our paths crossed was a fluke accident where a portal from his world and my world opened up at the exact same location. Different worlds in different universes. In the time we got to spend together, we immediately bonded and have been close ever since. We were separated almost as soon as we came together, enough to form a friendship and mourn that said friendship.

Experts in portal travel have told me that it only opens every seven years. I have to wait seven years to be reunited with my friend, and hope that Heistyl is preparing for our next catch up. We both need to be in the same place at the same time again to ensure the most success.

I’m already starting to compile lists of conversation topics and juicy gossip going on in my life. I hope Heistyl is doing the same. We have no way of communicating to one another. There is no technology built for interdimensional pen-pals.

Our friendship is the greatest I’ve ever experienced in my life, but I wish we could see each other more often than once every seven years.
