The Main Character

I’m the last person to tend to the dead overlords. People of all species do not accept their creators are mortal, despite how long they live for, die just like them. They might understand on a surface level that everything is created from a previous reaction, but foolish enough to believe the gods are exempt from that rule. It’s bullshit for anyone to accept that the same Satan has been in charge since the beginning of time. There has been at least four documented iterations of the ‘devil’ before. Gods die and pass over power to the next generation of holy leaders. I’ve tended to their graves for many years, especially enjoying spitting on the headstones of the most vile gods ever. Regardless, I maintain their graves to the best quality I can, and so will my predecessor, and their predecessor, and so on. Don’t think for a second that I am the only one with true immortality. I was created from the past and I will become the future, the same way energy is transferred from one form to the next. I will meet my end one day too, but until then I am the groundskeeper to the graves of dead gods and devils.
