All creatives will relate to this. Every painter finds work at a gallery or an art supply store, so they get closer to their goal. Same with writers – they find work at a publishing house. Musicians work in recording studios. They all have the commonality of utilising the resources at their disposal for personal passion projects. The job is a placeholder until the creative can be full-time as an artist, writer, or musician.
It’s not wrong to want all that. I have applied to many museums that are advertising positions, in hopes I can get my sculptures out there for people to see.
