The sands are barren. There is nothing within my field of vision. The sun beams directly onto me and it can get quite warm. I have to store my water supplies and ration them out carefully. In the rare chance it rains, I store the water within my body for the drier days like today. No cars pass by the roads and even if they did they keep their distance from me. I may be prickly on the outside, but my insides are gooey and smooth. Humans don’t take the time to get to know me; my exterior is enough to worry them. I’m a nice guy and I’m so lonely out here in the deserted plains.
