Exchange Trip to the Moon

I get handed a flyer from the teacher about a new school exchange trip that is planned. Moon.

The teacher then explains to the class that the school is going to the Moon. It will take 450 hours to travel one way. I pull my calculator out to see how many days 450 hours is. 450 divided by 24 is 18.75 days. Almost 19 days of travelling in space and 19 back as well. I don’t think I could handle being with my classmates for that long, excluding the Moon trip part of things too. I’m out.

The teacher continues to say that the exchange class will spend 250 days living and learning the Moon culture. The Moon has only started to build infrastructure and I’m not sure what we would be doing there. I didn’t think the school had a budget for a rocketship either. I’m definitely not going.

I rip the flyer into lots of small pieces and throw it in the bin while the teacher explains what this trip will be like. I continue out the door.
